A Very Eventful Sept. 2011 – Nov. 2011  

Every month is exciting and action packed here at Protecting Black Life! However, we had a particularly eventful September 2011 – November 2011.

Allow me to highlight a few key events we had the privilege of participating in:

60-minute TV Interview – Christopher Smitherman (TV Host, Cincinnati NAACP President & Cincinnati City Councilman) and I had a very lively conversation concerning abortion’s impact in the Black community and practical things to do about it. Radio Interviews – One was with Ryan Dobson, son of Dr. James Dobson, click here for part1 and click here for part2. Another was a 60-minute interview with radio host, Carl Behanan with Christian Talk 1050 WCVX. This interview was divided into 10 segments, with a different segment airing every day for 2 weeks as a Ministry Spotlight beginning Dec. 5, 2011. To listen click here.

Spoke and led prayer at TheCall Detroit 11/11/11 – 11/12/11 – TheCall is a national/international prayer movement and one of its areas of prayer focus is on seeing abortion end. To view the Black pro-life segment (Part 10) of the gathering, Click here. I had the privilege of leading prayer at 31:50 mins. - 34:33 mins. and shared a few encouraging words at 1:04:28 - 1:10:18. An estimated 30,000 people were in attendance.

• Spoke at 8 Pastor’s & Leader’s Meetings – Cincinnati, OH; Miami, FL; Pompano Beach, FL; Canton, OH; Akron, OH; Leesburg, FL; Newark, NY; Ft. Wayne, IN

• Partnered with The Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Office of African American Ministries to conduct the Choose Life: The Heart of it All half-day conference at Purcell Marian High School on Sat., Nov. 5, 2011 – My wife co-led a workshop entitled: Surviving Abortion Through Forgiveness & Healing and I taught a workshop entitled: Did You Know? – Facts About Abortion in the Black community.

• Florida Baptist Children’s Homes’ annual Sound the Call Sanctity of Human Life Conference in Leesburg, FL Oct. 6-8, 2011 - Keynote speaker, workshop presenter, exhibitor and ministered musically. As a result, I will be speaking at FBCH’s Oct. 2012 Sound The Call conference and will also be conducting 2 regional trainings for them in Lakeland, FL & Miami, FL in 2012.

The message of life is being received by African Americans all across this country! Please join us in praying that our life-saving efforts will continue to help eyes to be opened, hearts to be changed and lives to be saved...born and unborn!
